At Battenkill Outfitters, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and plans may change. Here’s what you need to know about our cancellation and rescheduling options:

Cancellations

  • 14 Days or More: If you cancel at least 14 days before your reservation date, you will receive a full refund, minus a 4% credit card processing fee.

  • Within 14 Days: Cancellations made within 14 days of the reservation date are non-refundable. However, you may apply the amount paid toward a rescheduled trip to be used within one year of the original trip date.

Rescheduling

  • 14 Days or More: Rescheduling is permitted without penalty if requested at least 14 days before your original reservation date.

  • 7 to 14 Days: Changes made between 7 and 14 days before the reservation will incur a rebooking fee of 25% of the total amount.

  • Within 7 Days: Rescheduling within 7 days of the reservation date is not allowed.

  • Guest-Initiated Reschedules: For any guest-initiated reschedule, amounts previously paid will be applied as a credit toward a future trip. Rescheduled trips are subject to current pricing at the time of rebooking. If the rescheduled trip takes place in a later season or after a rate increase, the guest is responsible for paying any difference in price.

Inclement Weather and Water Temperature Policy

At Battenkill Outfitters, guest safety and the health of the river are our top priorities. We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to conditions we determine to be unsafe or unsuitable for fishing. This includes severe weather, unsafe river flows, or water temperatures that exceed 70°F.

If Battenkill Outfitters cancels your trip due to these conditions, you will have the option to reschedule within one year of the original trip date or receive a 50% refund, less a 4% processing fee.

If you choose to reschedule a trip canceled by Battenkill Outfitters due to unsafe weather, river conditions, or water temperature, the original trip rate will be honored.

Please note that rain alone does not constitute inclement weather. Only weather or river conditions that present a legitimate safety concern or endanger fish welfare will be grounds for cancellation, and all such decisions will be made at the sole discretion of Battenkill Outfitters.
