Battenkill Outfitters is proudly based at Rockwell’s Retreat, a charming riverside bed & breakfast in Arlington, Vermont. This is where we meet guests, gear up, and begin many of our adventures on the Battenkill and beyond.

Staying at Rockwell’s Retreat means you’re just steps from the river and right where your guide day begins — no need to drive anywhere else. Guests can also take advantage of custom lodging + outfitting packages, designed for a seamless fly fishing getaway.

Set in the former home and studio of Norman Rockwell, the property has been thoughtfully transformed into a welcoming inn with modern comforts and timeless Vermont charm. The eight unique guest rooms are outfitted with 600-thread count sheets and custom-made mattresses, and guests are treated to Kevin’s gourmet breakfasts, complimentary local ice cream, and evenings by the firepit with s’mores.
